Our home is a fully furnished architect designed rustic style house located in the foothills of Cerro San Felipe overlooking the city of Oaxaca. Distributed in three open terraces, each room in the house has fully screened windows with scenic views of our gardens and the nearby mountains and fields. The top terrace consists of a covered two-car garage. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms are located on the second terrace. The master bedroom has a king size bed and two desks. The second bedroom has one bunk bed, an additional single bed, and a large desk and work area. The third terrace includes an open plan living-dining-kitchen area, and a covered gallery for hammocks and birdwatching. Wireless access is available throughout the house. Rent includes maid service three times a week, a gardener, and a bilingual property manager. For a small additional fee we can arrange for cooking and childcare. The house is located in San Felipe del Agua, a residential and agricultural community favored by scholars and retired academics. The house is approximately twenty minutes from museums and other cultural institutions located in Oaxaca´s historic center. The house is easily reached by public transportation or by taxi, and includes secure, covered garage space. San Felipe del Agua offers a full range of services within easy walking distance from the house, including groceries, schools, , restaurants, tortillerías and an open air market three days a week. The house, which is located on the edge of the San Felipe Ecological Reserve, has terrific views, as well as ample working spaces and excellent lighting. It is an ideal, quiet home for writers, artists, or families who simply want to relax while enjoying both the best of Oaxaca City´s cultural life and the tranquility of San Felipe village.
