Come stay in our lovely, Heritage Register listed, 1902 townhouse in Ottawa's best neighbourhood, the Glebe! You're just steps from restaurants, cafes, specialty food stores, hardware, several bakeries, drugstore, you name it! The canal is a block away for skating in winter and running, cycling, or picnics in summer. Downtown is 5 minutes by car, 10 minutes by bike, or about 30 minutes on foot. Same goes for the major universities. Lots of museums close by, and several gyms, including a YMCA. Lansdowne, with its weekly farmer's market, major sporting events, cinema, and shops is only 7 minutes walk! There's a playground across the street, too. Currently available from July 9th to end of August. More dates for next year. *NOTE: I’m currently refreshing the design upstairs, buying new art, carpets etc. So the minimalist look in the master and study photos will be much homier by the time you arrive.* The house features exposed brick, and the interior was designed by an architect / designer team. Downstairs is newly renovated with real maple floors and high end furniture. Upstairs, all the beds and linen are brand new and dust mite protected in case of allergies. Full bed in teen room, ‘king’ in the master (two twins with different firmness for mattresses, so the same width as a king, but a few inches shorter). Currently refreshing the design, buying new art, etc. so the design may change a little by the time you arrive. Will update pics as I go. There’s a a large spa bathroom with separate glass shower. Note the tub faucet is under repair so the bathtub may be unsuable. We have a back deck with a rope swing and a low-maintenance garden in front, as well as a balcony off the master bedroom. The master bedroom has an attached, sunny study with a cozy chair and standing desk. The second bedroom is set up for a teen. The house can comfortably accommodate 3 people, but in a pinch, there is sleeping room for four. Note that the house is not toddler-safe. Miele washer/dryer upstairs. Kitchen well equipped, including instant pot, air fryer, and ice cream maker. Let us know if you have any questions.
