Separate entrance, completely private from the rest of the house. Listing includes 1 bedroom, kitchen, dining/living room and bathroom. Our home is very clean, we have a regular cleaning service come. We have rented to long term fellows and researchers in the past and hope to continue this tradition. We have been renting this apartment as a furnished short term for more than 10 years and take great care of the place. 2 blocks from the historic Eastern Market and walking distance to the Library of Congress, Folger Shakespeare Library and in proximity to the Mall. - Living area with 1 sofa/bed and a chair and a dining area in the bay window, seats four. -The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove top and oven, a vent, a refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, an espresso maker french press, numerous pots and pans oven dishes as well as a full set of plates, glasses and cutlery. The countertop is made of granite. -The bathroom has a bathtub/shower and ample space for further storage under the sink. -The bedroom faces the south and has two windows and a sliding glass door to the back garden. The room is equipped with two large built-in closets, one queen bed and a nightstand. Clean sheets and towels are provided. The house is equipped with wifi and cable TV. The backyard can be accessed through back sliding door. You are welcome to sit in the back garden. Street parking. If staying for a longer period, monthly cleaning is provided. We have had this furnished rental since 14 years. No pets please.
