There is a queen-sized bed in the bedroom with plush bedding and good linens. A dedicated office space off the sizeable living room is equipped with ultra high-speed internet. There's a 42" flat screen TV with full cable package and extra HDMI cable for additional device connection. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher. Butcher block counter tops and farmhouse sink. Coffee grinder, french press, stovetop espresso maker, tea pot with strainer for loose leaf and even a tea cozy. Kitchen, living, dining, and bathroom with walk-in shower all on one floor. Access to laundry room with washer and dryer also on same level. Walk-in closet with storage off of bedroom. There is a private south-facing patio for the dedicated use of suite guests. This is the type of accommodation we need and wish for when travelling for research and writing projects--no detail has been overlooked where this suite is concerned. The soundproofing of the building and in-between floors is exceptional. The floor plan is spacious, accommodating a full sized sectional couch with ottoman and full sized dining table. The living area of the suite is bright, overlooking gardens with mature trees while the bedroom boasts a muted tranquil atmosphere that supports excellent sleep. Edmonton is very much an automobile-oriented city but our location is a walker's dream. The entrance to the ravine park is a block from the house and leads through wooded nature trails and connects to the river valley trails system. Or you can head the other direction and walk in about 10-20 minutes to a French bakery, a European grocery, a natural/organic food store, a boutique wine and spirits shop, a barista espresso bar, and on Saturdays the Old Strathcona Farmer's market.
