A very special but economical shortterm rental

Just 25 minutes east of Kingston, Gananoque is a very friendly town on the water with great walking and cycling trails, especially along the 1000 Islands Parkway. The hosts are very attentive and accommodating, and their historic house has all the modern conveniences. A pleasant, quiet stay.

I stayed in one of the ground-floor apartments, (they call it “The Porch” apt because of its large and lovely sitting porch) for four months. The apartment was well-appointed, comfortable, and charming, with decorative wood floors, high ceilings, and large windows. The location was very good—easy to walk to the waterfront or downtown—and in a nice neighbourhood on a dead-end street. It’s a restful place to live. Phil and Petra were great landlords, friendly, and easy to work with. Because the apartment was fully-furnished and included kitchen supplies and cleaning supplies, moving in and staying was convenient. I fully recommend The Absolute 1000 Islands Suites.
