This house is ideal for an academic family looking for accommodation during Michaelmas. It is a 20-minute walk from Examination Schools on the High Street; the University gym and sports grounds are a stone's throw away; among the best food in Oxford is served from the pub on the street corner and from a restaurant five doors away; there are parks within walking distance; it is a 10-minute walk to the Thames River Path, and there is a gym and yoga/pilates studio across the road. There is a spacious parking space in front of the house and a fantastic study in the back garden. The house is not open-plan, which means that the book room at the front of the house can be used as a second study. A TV room (with log-burning fireplace), dining area, kitchen, laundry/utilities and small WC are more or less interlinked, and make up the rest of the public space on the ground floor. Upstairs are two full bathrooms (both with showers and one with a bath), shared by three bedrooms (one king-size bed, one double bed, one single bed) over two floors. There is nothing smart about the house, but it is really comfortable and great to live in. All photographs (except for the back garden, which is from June 2021) were taken in 2018 for an Airbnb listing, but nothing important has changed. A new Smeg stove was installed in the kitchen in January 2022.

Comments: Excellent access to city centre and University of Oxford, by bus, cycling or walking. Walk to the best pubs and restaurants in Oxford.
Comments: Willingness to water a 50m2 garden will attract a £50 per month discount. The owners use a bi-monthly cleaning service, which tenants can either use or decline. It costs £15 per hour.
Comments: The two staircases do not have any "child gates", and we shall not be able to put up any. So, excellent for older kids but perhaps not so great for toddlers.
We might ask for certain items to be opened, photographed and sent to us.
Watering the garden (approximately 50m2) will be much appreciated and will attract a rent discount (see earlier).

Comments: The house is fully furnished and we rent it out looking exactly the same as when we live there - minus personal effects, of course. All linen and towels are provided.
