Sunny room in beautiful neighborhood, near to Harvard

One fully furnished room available in a sunny, comfortable three bedroom apartment. Located on a quiet residential street in East Arlington, on the edge of Cambridge. Buses run from our doorstep to Harvard Square in less than 20 minutes. The Red Line stop at Alewife (subway train) is a 15 minute walk, so we're easily connected to the rest of Boston's transit system(MBTA). Massachusetts Avenue is a block away with stores, cafes, small restaurants, ice cream, and bakeries. There is even a small, local movie theater and a small post office. Arlington Center and Davis Square are both walking distance. They are the more bustling neighborhoods that have busier shops, bars, bigger restaurants, etc. They attract most of the non-local traffic, and keep our space much more quiet. Our neighborhood is remarkably peaceful for all its convenience. East Arlington one of the gems of the Greater Boston area. The Minuteman bike path is just around the corner, and runs to Boston in one direction, and two towns further out from here into the greener suburbs in the other. It's lovely for walking, biking, etc. There are parks, green spaces, ponds, small rivers and wetlands all a short walk from our step. The apartment itself is on the second floor and gets plenty of fresh air and sunlight. We have a lovely back porch and back yard as well. I play soccer, practice yoga, cook, read, write, draw, listen to music, watch t.v. and keep plants. I work at Arlington High School, and will be beginning my master's degree in counseling psychology this fall at Lesley University in Cambridge. Our other roommate will be a post-doc student at the Harvard school of music, studying the economic history of Jazz. The culture of the house is warm and welcoming. I like to keep the apartment clean and organized, but relaxed and comfortable. I love hosting, and have been doing so for a few years now. I grew up down the street from here, and know Boston and Cambridge well. I've lived abroad often for work, school, and family, and I appreciate the value of a good home away from home. Sharing the apartment and my home here in Boston with other travelers feels like paying it forward a bit for all the connections I've made on my own journey.
