A perfect place to call home while in San Francisco, this 1895 flat still has much of it's original details: cast-brass door knobs and hinges, fireplace surrounds, picture molding and rosettes (if you go for that kind of character). Fully furnished and equipped with all the amenities to meet your needs and create a quiet retreat, while being close to wonderful restaurants, parks, universities and cultural institutions to entice you to get out and explore. The office features a large desk and credenza at the back of the house, away from street noise and with a view of the gardens to help you write, meet, think, etc. The dining room can seat 4 formally but there's plenty of room for additional guests. Remodeled kitchen is a cook's dream, fully equipped so you can cook delicious meals with ingredients from the local farmers' markets or stores. A garden at the back of the house is lush, green and full of birds and butterflies, perfect for al fresco dining or working. Laundry facilities in the flat. And there are multiple bus lines to help you get wherever you need to go. Have a bicycle? The garage is a safe and secure place to park it. Have a car? There's parking for one vehicle (no trucks or SUVs). Easy access to Golden Gate Park and Alamo Square, less than 4 miles to Union Square, and a straight route West to the Pacific Ocean. Neighbors upstairs and on both sides are extremely helpful and fun, adding a sense of home to your stay.
