Our home is a short stroll (~5 minutes) from Cook Street Village, a short walk (~10 minutes) to the beautiful Dallas Rd waterfront, walkable to downtown (~20 minutes to the closer part of downtown), and a short drive (~15 minutes) or bike or bus ride (~25 minutes) to the University of Victoria. Our home has a cook’s kitchen with a gas stove and two sinks, an informal eating area, and a dining area. In addition to the kitchen and eating areas, the main level features a large living room with a natural gas fireplace, one bedroom with a king bed, a full bathroom (shower only, no bathtub), and an in-suite washer and dryer. Upstairs features the other two bedrooms (there is a fourth bedroom that we plan on using as a storage area), and a full bathroom (separate bathtub and shower). The master bedroom (queen bed) upstairs is very large and has two closets. The other upstairs bedroom is currently set up as a home office, with an adjustable (sit-stand) desk; we have a double mattress available that we could put on this room to make it an additional bedroom. Both upstairs bedrooms have mountain views. The south-facing garden is a gardener’s paradise. There is a large deck with a seating area, and a patio table and chairs is on the stone patio at ground level. The garden has three raised beds, and extensive planted areas. Comes fully furnished, and all utilities are included (heat, air conditioning, hot water, internet; estimated value of $500/month). Our home is available January 1, 2027 to May 31, 2027 while we are away on sabbatical, with somewhat flexible start (could start a bit sooner or later) and end-dates (could end a bit later). We are looking for someone who want to rent it for ideally the whole five months, or possibly four months. Note that our home is not set up for small children. What you can't see from the pictures is that this is a green home with solar panels and heat pumps. We have a fantastic long-term tenants who live in the completely separate lower suites and who are very quiet and respectful. Comments: This is a wonderful walkable neighborhood: 5 minutes to shops in Cook Street Village, 10 minutes to the ocean, 20 minutes to downtown.
Comments: No smoking / vaping of any kind in the house. The house is not childproofed; it is not suitable for young children.
