Less than one mile to UC Berkeley and to Rockridge gourmet shopping, and Rockridge as well as Ashby Bart . Bus #51B, 21 and 27. Walking distance to post office, library, restaurants, banks, Claremont Hotel and Spa etc. Convenient access to San Francisco by car or Bart. Elegant house designed by Berkeley architect Ratcliff around 1912. Lots of light. On the second floor: 3 bedrooms (equipped, respectively with 1 queen, 1 full and 1 single bed) and one bathroom, and on the first floor: on one side of spacious hallway: dining room, kitchen and bathroom, and on the other side, living room. Walk-in closet. Beds, desks and storage space in every room High speed internet, off-street parking in driveway, Small but sunny backyard, equipped with a garden table and chairs. I am on the faculty at UC Berkeley and this is our home. We provide all you might reasonably need: sheets and towels, kitchenware, tableware... The rent includes $480/month for house cleaning (cleaning ladies come once every two weeks) It does not include utilities, actual PG&E costs will be deduced from security deposit at the end of your stay. We ask for a deposit which serves as commitment in advance of rental. It will be returned after the rental period ends minus utilities as billed by PG&E and the cost of possible damages incurred. We will cover any emergency/unexpected repairs that may be necessary during your stay. Our house is suitable for a family with one or two children that will enjoy and take care of our home during our absence this Fall
