Looking for an romantic artistic village, restaurants, cafés and theatres?

We recently stayed in this beautiful and well-provisioned house in Laren and couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the hosts were gracious, helpful and attentive - offering just the right amount of assistance when we asked for local area recommendations, without ever feeling intrusive. We felt very fortunate to have found such a gem!

The area around this rental is beautiful, with shops and restaurants and beautiful gardens. It is an easy commute to the larger centres of Amsterdam or Utrecht. 15 min by bus to Hilversum/ and train station. The courtyard garden is lovely, a magical Mediterranean world.

There was lots of interaction with the host, which sometimes felt intrusive. Note that when I was there, there was only one double bedroom. (an additional single bed was installed after I pointed this out.) Check with the host if you require 4-person accommodation. The home is large enough that the host could install an additional bed if you need it. He is very accommodating.
