Charming private guest house near Bard College

Enjoy a well-rounded stay at Bard College in our circular guest house. This thoughtfully designed apartment inside a grain bin stands about 40 feet from our main house. It's an ideal situation for a visiting professor, a pied a terre, or a close couple. The ground floor has a galley kitchen, a large wraparound table suitable for dining or working, a pair of supremely comfortable leather armchairs for reading or conversation, and a great deal of book storage. A modern heat pump system provides silent year-round climate control. Unlimited hot water is provided by an on-demand heater. A single-unit washer/dryer tucked under the stairs takes care of laundry. Upstairs there's a double bed, bureau, small closet, bathroom with shower, high ceiling, good reading lamps and blackout curtains for a good night's sleep. The two floors have independent climate controls for maximum comfort. There are windows but none of them face the house, so you should enjoy something close to complete privacy. My wife and I are in the city part of the time anyway. The guesthouse and main house are both several hundred feet back from the street and invisible to passersby. But you can walk to everything in the village, including the Bard Shuttle. The rent includes everything except cleaning, so a single price covers all utilities, internet, garden maintenance, etc. The unit is available when you need it, but broadly speaking for either one semester or two, with dates to be arranged.
