This newly listed, fully furnished, 75m2, two-bedroom apartment is our home away from home. We are a family of four and enjoy getting away to Aix-en-Provence to soak up the culture, explore the region and reconnect with friends we have there. Apartment living with easy access to the centre ville, public transit and cultural and university sites lets us enjoy a great deal of car free living. However, we do enjoy having a car for our visits to friends and wineries in the beautiful French countryside. We enjoy day trips to many of the nearby historical sites, to the Luberon and to the Riviera. The apartment is on the fourth floor of a six storey, secure building. It is accessible by stairs or elevator. The apartment is ideal for a couple or a family of three or four. It is a crossing apartment which means there is terrific air flow throughout when the balcony doors are open. There is air conditioning in the open living area. The north side of the apartment has an open concept kitchen, dining area and living room and opens onto a small balcony with terrific views of the hills of north Aix and the surrounding streetscape. There is a half bath (toilet) just inside the main entrance which is handy for guests. The south side of the apartment is connected by a hallway with storage closets. There are two bedrooms and a full bathroom (toilet, vanity and tub/shower). The king beds can be separated into twin beds which is handy for kids or visitors. The second bedroom could also function as an office. There is a second balcony shared by the two bedrooms which gives outstanding views to the south and plenty of opportunity to soak up the beautiful sunshine of Provence. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances, cutlery, cooking utensils and a washing machine. The peninsula gives both separation from the dining area/living room and ample preparation space with a vantage point to engage with family and friends. Out the front door of the apartment building there is a bus stop for many of the transit routes in and around Aix. We walk everywhere we can so if you exit the building, turn right and head toward Cours Mirabeau and you are immediately immersed in what makes the South of France and Aix so special. In no more than 7 minutes, you are in the heart of Aix Centre Ville Office de Tourisme, shops, restaurants and markets. Near the Hotel de Ville is the Place Richelme market virtually every morning for fresh vegetables and fruits, nuts, spices and soaps. Everywhere you go, you are struck by the vibrancy of this university “town”. Students are everywhere bringing a sense of youthfulness to this ancient roman getaway.

Comments: With two bedrooms and an open concept kitchen and living room, it is well suited to a family of four. However, the apartment is on the fourth floor with balconies on the front and back so some caution with young children is required.

Comments: Parking is available with the apartment for Euros 125 per month. Transit is right outside the main door of the apartment building on a well served street. Train and bus stations are within a 10 - 12 minute walk. Centre ville is a 5 - 7 min walk.
