We have a large house and a separate but attached property, called Blays Cottage, that are ideal for visiting academics to Oxford and for exploration of England. Blays Cottage is available from 1 July 2026 onwards for at least three months at a time and for multiples of a year. The main house is let periodically through Sabbatical Homes, but the cottage is available from the end of Oxford Trinity (Summer) Term onwards, so free from 1 July 2026. We are on a bus route into central Oxford but have bikes to lend, if you ride. A four-seater convertible sports car may be available with Blays Cottage, as an additional item. This self-contained cottage forms a wing of the main house. Blays Cottage has 2 double and 1 single bedroom and two bathrooms and is stylish, modernised and easy to run. It is ideal for a couple with occasional visitors in the smaller double bedroom and single room, which can also be a study space. I have been for years a Grad student at Oxford (English& History) and my husband has strong interest in history, so the main house has a good library and quiet conditions for study. He is a former World Champion of Real Tennis (the first racquet sport) and together we run the court and club at nearby Radley College. We have a collection of books and memorabilia relating to the game. I have a small property lettings business and aim to be the best landlord anyone could have. My properties are immaculate and I shall aim to leave any house I live in at least as clean and tidy as I found it, or even better! I would be delighted if anyone resident is able to manage any little bits of DIY, gardening etc to keep the place respectable. More importantly, I am conscious of climate change and will be grateful if residents can do what they can to mitigate by recycling and not wasting.

Comments: The house has masses of character and is warm & bright. Ideal for a couple with occasional visitors. Sit-in kitchen seats four. There is a small outside area with garden furniture. Car parking space allocated close to the cottage.
