Description

We are two academics working at Oxford Brookes and University of Westminster, away on holiday this August. This is a recently refurbished spacious maisonette with a balcony, a newly fitted kitchen, bathroom, and toilet. It has a bedroom, walk in wardrobe, and a large office with two desks. The flat is on the second floor of a purpose built block of flats, and is accessed via two flights of stairs (no lift). The building is well kept and has a locked entrance. The flat is very well connected with Central London as well as other parts of the city, with a nearby tube and overground stations, and many bus connections. It is 7 minutes walk from Archway (Northern Line) which takes you to Central London (King's Cross, Bloomsbury, Fitzrovia, Soho, Shoreditch, Liverpool Street) in 10-15 minutes. It is 15 minutes away from British Library (cycle or tube), as well as UCL, SOAS, Birkbeck, and Central Saint Martins. The flat is situated in the middle of several vibrant areas (Highgate, Finsbury Park, Kentish Town). There are plenty of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants as well as several supermarkets a short walk away, in Archway and Crouch End. The flat is walking distance to large open spaces of North London - Parkland Walk and Highgate Woods (5mins), Waterlow Park (10mins) and Hampstead Heath (20mins), where you can enjoy the views of London from Parliament Hill, or go wild swimming in the famous ponds.
