Built in 1899, this is one of the oldest homes in the neighborhood and a designated Historic property in Pasadena's Garfield Heights Historic District. The house is a 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom home with a fully equipped kitchen, spacious dining room, and a bright, airy living room with large windows, split-unit AC, TV, and a hi-fi sound system. There is a large covered porch with a breakfast table and porch swing. The primary bedroom, off the dining room, has a queen-size Keetsa memory foam mattress and is very bright. The second bedroom is set up for a child, with a lofted twin bed and desk underneath. The third bedroom functions as an office and guest room, with a comfortable futon (slightly smaller than twin) that props up as a couch, plus a small desk. An optional fourth bedroom/office is available for an adult fee (currently storage). The property sits on a rare half-acre and is a certified Wildlife Habitat. All fruit trees are irrigated with greywater, organic matter is composted on-site, rainwater is captured for garden use, and landfill waste is minimized. The garden is composed almost entirely of native plants, as well as fruit trees, grape and boysenberry vines, a large vegetable garden, fire pit, hammock, trampoline, playhouse, and ample off-street parking. A separate stand alone one-bedroom, one-bathroom in-law unit is also available for rent which can serve as the main bedroom, guest house, art studio or office. The property is home to cats (low-maintenance, garage-based) and there is a coop for chickens if thats of interest (there are no chickens living there currently).
