Historic Home for Rent or Swap in Princeton--Near Everything!

Description

We are looking for guests who would appreciate the historic character of our home, which is full of original artwork by the owner--namely landscapes and icons. We are spending the summer at Oxford University, so the house is for rent after Princeton's graduation in late May until mid-August. The ground floor has an eat-in-kitchen, a large dining room that seats 12, a living room, an alcove/study, an office, and the laundry room. Upstairs has 6 rooms: 3 bedrooms plus a TV room, an office and a walk-in closet (that used to be a bedroom). There are 3 bathrooms upstairs, all with showers, and a half bath downstairs. We cook a lot at home, so we have knives, an Air Fryer, a cast iron pan, and all the usual cooking and eating utensils. We have a very trustworthy cleaner who comes 2x a month. We like that we are about 12 minutes from the NJ Transit station, and 10-15 minutes from all downtown shops. Most locations on campus are 20 minutes or less. We only use a car to go grocery shopping, though grocery delivery is an option if you don't have a car. We can't loan out our car due to insurance but we have several bikes you can use. We are on a main road and can hear traffic, but the windows are thick so it is not disturbing. We are academics and lovers of culture so we possess many books and have lots of art, but otherwise the closets have lots of empty room. The house is beautifully furnished but not cluttered.
