It's part of a small 1963 building in Takoma Park, Maryland, just over the DC line — and a pleasant walk to metro and to Old Town Takoma shops. Our place is close to several universities, hospitals and medical centers in DC and suburban Maryland. Hardwood floors throughout, with soapstone countertops in kitchen, ample balcony with cafe table & teak chaise lounge, fresh linens and towels, and some favorite art and thriving plants that give a sense of life and soul. Comes with dedicated parking space. Laundry available in the shared condo utility room, one floor below. Unit is on the middle level of 3-story building, up a half-flight of stairs. The building's balconies were nicely redone in 2026, which adds a pleasant outdoor living space with a little cafe table where we often share coffee or a simple evening meal. Prime location: One block from Takoma Park-Silver Spring Co-op grocery store and Takoma Junction (deli, small restaurants, bakery, copy/mail shop). Twelve minute walk to Metro station (Red Line) and to Old Town Takoma Park downtown, weekend farmer’s market, and Sligo Creek walking/biking trail.   Available: August 19, 2026 - January 15, 2027  Price: $1850/month net includes utilities, fast FIOS internet, TV with Roku, and monthly cleaning in exchange for responsible renter who will water the plants in our unit & take in mail. The square-footage given in this listing does not include our unit's second bedroom, which will be used as owners’ storage space during the rental term. Friendly small condo building on a less-trafficked street, with good and very considerate neighbors upstairs and next door. Condo requirements mean we can't accommodate pets or smokers.
