This is a beloved, beautiful flat owned by two historians in a listed (historical) building in Hampstead. It has beautiful morning and afternoon light and gorgeous views over Hampstead from bay windows, several bookshelves, a large dining table with a bench, and well-lit desk area with desk chair. The kitchen is separate and fully equipped and ready to use. The bedroom has a double bed with a little Juliet balcony with plants on it. The flat is ideally located. It is a stone’s throw from Hampstead Heath—one of the most stunning green spaces in London. In terms of public transport, it is a 7 minute walk to Finchley Road Station (Metropolitan and Jubilee lines), 6 minutes to Finchey & Frognal (Overground station) and an 8 minute walk to Hampstead high street (Northern Line). It is also close to cafes and restaurants in Hampstead, Finchley Road and West Hampstead. It is ideal for getting to Kings Cross, Euston, National Archives (Kew). The flat is located on the second floor of the building (so ground, first and then second floor) which has a wide staircase, plants and stain-glass windows. We are looking for an academic to stay in the flat, ideally someone who needs an easy commute to central London, wants to enjoy local cafes, and likes walks around the Heath. We’d like someone to treat the flat with care, including taking shoes off to protect Persian rugs and occasionally watering the one or two plants! There are lime bikes available outside of the building for those who would like to cycle into town. The apartment will be professionally cleaned before arrival as well as after departure and for this service an additional £75 fee will be charged. All utilities are included.
