A covered area is available for a bicycle. The space is large enough to entertain some dinner guests comfortably, or have a weekend guest from out of town, and cozy and private enough to feel truly at home. Living Room: pull-out couchbed (best for one adult), several comfortable chairs, moveable TV and stand, large closet, bookshelves. Kitchen and Dining: The kitchen has a full set of cookware and dishes/glasses/cutlery, several convenient appliances, ample storage, private garden views, and a foldable dining room table that can expand for four people. Smoke-Free, Allergy-Free: No smoking, vaping, or pets. NONE. Nice Neighbors: Friendly, courteous, respectful couple (long-time owner) lives in a separate craftsman house on the property. A UC Berkeley post-doc couple lives in the upstairs portion of this duplex cottage. We share bicycle storage, recycling/trash take-out duties, take in each other's mail when out of town, swap new restaurant recommendations, encourage sampling of property's ten fruit trees, and offer general neighborliness. Great Location: On a quiet, safe, beautiful Elmwood street, one block off College Avenue in Berkeley. Walking time: UC Berkeley, 20 min; Rockridge BART, 10 min; transbay bus, 5 min; coffee/bakeries/restaurants/markets, 3 min.
