I'm a journalist and writer who spends big chunks of time away from home and doesn't like to leave the house empty! I truly love this flat and I'm looking for someone who will appreciate its boho charms while I'm gone. Just 10 minutes' walk from the Victoria line, this maionsette spans the ground floor and first floor of a classic London terrace. It has a generously sized bedroom and living room, with an office nook set-up in the living room including a hand-cranked sit-stand desk, active sitting chair, a big monitor and separate mouse and keyboard – all very beneficial on long workdays. The bedroom has a double bed and wardrobe, and the living room has a very comfy Omhu Teddy sofa that can be divided to make a guest bed or a day bed for indulgently reading the paper on the weekends. The desk and the sofa are both very cosy spots to write or read. The butter yellow galley kitchen is a joy to spend time in and is well set up for cooking meals, with plenty of appliances and equipment. The bathroom is quite small – think en suite – but that's made up for by the spaciousness of the rest of the property! The house is an end of terrace so it gets more light and air (and less backyard noise) than most London properties, and it is just off the busy West Green Road, providing a safe walking route home at night. It is 20 minutes to Kings Cross and 25 minutes to Warren Street or Oxford Street stations on the Victoria line tube from nearby Seven Sisters station. The Weaver line overground also goes from there, while the Suffragette line goes from South Tottenham station, which is 15 minutes' walk away. This neighbourhood is just outside of the trendy areas of Stoke Newington and Hackney, which can be easily accessed by bike or bus. Other attractions in South Tottenham include Downhills Park, Lordship Recreation Ground and Walthamstow Wetlands for walks; the Turkish restaurants on Green Lanes; Seven Sisters Market (a hub of the Latin American community); and several gyms including a Climbing District bouldering gym. This is a perfect writers' hideaway or London base for one or two people. My priority is not to make a fortune but to find nice people who will look after my house and plants – if you think that's you, get in touch!
