Description

We are a family with two school-aged children going on sabbatical from August-December 2026, looking for a cat-lover (or family of cat-lovers) to live in our home and care for our two delightful and healthy indoor cats. The cats are a bonded brother-sister pair who will steal your heart. Our charming home is located in a walkable area of University City (UCity), just a block from Mooney Park and a few blocks from multiple restaurants (e.g., Cibo Italia, Dewey's Pizza, Frida's, and Taco Buddha). Many more restaurants in nearby Clayton and Delmar Loop. Quiet neighborhood with wonderful neighbors. New features in this older home include a new basement floor and a lovely native rainscaping garden in the front yard. Upstairs has 3 large bedrooms, 1 smaller room used as an office, and a full bath. First floor has a living room (with projector/screen for watching videos from a laptop), large dining room, kitchen with plenty of counter space, and "powder room." Send your dirty clothes down the laundry chutes, which lead to a partially finished basement with brand new flooring, washer + dryer + clothes drying racks, work bench, and an open room that can be used as storage space (currently decorated in an under-the-sea theme). Small private/fenced backyard has a shaded patio and raised veggie gardens if you wish to plant a fall crop (we recommend swiss chard!). Driveway has space for parking up to 2 mid-sized cars, in addition to free street parking in front of the house. (Detached garage available for bicycle storage only.) All utilities are included in this low monthly rate, assuming reasonable use of water, gas, electric, and internet. House is fully furnished and available for your use. We will pack up our possessions as negotiated, depending on how much closet space you need and whether there are children coming who would want to play with the toys or read the many books.
