My home is a traditional adobe retreat, located on 2 acres off a quiet, dead-end lane near the artistic village of Arroyo Seco, in the heart of northern New Mexico. Just two miles from a world-class gallery and restaurant, eight miles from the famed art center of Taos with its amenities and community events, ten miles from the Taos Ski Valley, and a mile from legendary hiking in El Salto, this writer’s haven allows you to experience the very best of this enchanted region. Designed in classic territorial style, the house features an open-concept first floor, with rustic brick herringbone floors, high viga ceilings and ample windows that catch the amazing light. From upstairs, each window looks out on an iconic scene, nestled against Lucero peak to the east, and with sweeping westward views towards Three Peaks and El Pedernal on the horizon. The master bedroom is large and peaceful, with a new queen bed. The second bedroom, downstairs, has a new queen bed, too. A third room upstairs can be used as a guest space or an office. The galley kitchen is fully equipped, and there are two bathrooms. Highspeed fiber optic wifi is accessible throughout. The dining room has a farmhouse table, and there is a high efficiency propane stove in the living room. The space is tastefully decorated and can be offered furnished or semi-furnished.
