We are a Toronto family with deep roots in the Riverdale/Leslieville community and are seeking a responsible tenant for our main-floor rental unit. I am a Full Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University, and my academic journey began at the University of Toronto, where I completed all of my education in Civil Engineering. My wife has been a primary school teacher for more than twenty years at the same school in Toronto's east end. Together, we have spent our entire lives in the Riverdale and Leslieville neighbourhoods, where we have raised our daughters and remained closely connected to our extended families, many of whom still live nearby. We are offering this home because we genuinely enjoy sharing this wonderful community with others. Riverdale and Leslieville are among Toronto's most vibrant and family-friendly neighbourhoods, offering excellent parks, schools, local shops, restaurants, transit access, and a strong sense of community. Having lived here our entire lives, we are happy to help newcomers settle in and provide recommendations on everything from neighbourhood amenities to schools, transportation, healthcare, and local services. Our ideal tenant would be a visiting professor, researcher, graduate student, professional, or family looking for a comfortable and well-maintained home during their stay in Toronto. We particularly enjoy hosting members of the academic community and understand the needs of those relocating for research, teaching, sabbaticals, or graduate studies. We have extensive familiarity with Toronto's universities, including the University of Toronto, Toronto Metropolitan University, York University, and other post-secondary institutions in the region, and would be pleased to provide guidance where helpful. We are seeking a quiet, respectful, and responsible tenant who will treat the property as their home. While we are ideally looking for a one-year rental arrangement, we are also open to month-to-month tenancy for the right individual or family. We welcome professionals, academics, graduate students, and families who value a peaceful living environment. To ensure a comfortable experience for everyone, the property is strictly non-smoking, and we do not permit parties or events. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets. We value respectful relationships with our tenants and strive to be responsive, approachable landlords who are available to assist when needed while fully respecting our tenants' privacy and independence.
