Our beautiful 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath, fully furnished home in View Royal from Jan 1-May 5 2027, while we travel as part of our sabbatical. It is a minimum 2-month rental, with a preference for someone or a family who would like to rent for 3-4 months of that time. Our home is bright, comfortable, and located in a quiet, family-friendly neighbourhood with easy access to parks, schools, shops and transit. It is very suitable for a family, visiting academics, healthcare professionals or graduate students. It is fully furnished. We have a master bedroom with a king sized bed, a child's room with a single bed, and a guest room/office with a standing desk and view of the forest, or it can be easily converted to a 3rd bedroom as it also has a queen sized bed. We have lots of kids toys and books available (but these can be packed away if there will be no children living here). The main level of the house is an open concept design with the kitchen, living room and dining room, entry room, and a half-bath. The upstairs has has a family room with a tv, the master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a full bathroom with a tub, child's room, laundry, and the office/3rd bedroom. The house is heated & cooled with heat pumps. Our furniture and decor is unfussy, and comfortable. We have west coast inspired art, and local art, and lots of plants. We have a small garden space, and views of the forest that surrounds us from every window. Our home is located on a cul-de-sac of free-standing townhouses (no shared walls, but the houses are close together), in View Royal, BC. There is one parking space. We have a long-term, quiet basement tenant. Our home borders on Portage Park, with a forest path behind our home that connects directly to Portage Inlet beach, park, a bike route and playground. Our neighbourhood is safe and walkable to nearby amenities (hardware store, pub, waterfront cafe, pharmacies, grocery store etc.), two elementary schools, and there are lots of friendly families around and kids playing outside. We are also right on the E&N bike trail which connects to downtown and other bike routes across the city. We are close to Victoria's city center (10 minutes by car, 20-30 mins by bike along a dedicated bike trail, and 30 mins by bus along a frequent bus route), and a 5 min drive to Central Esquimalt, Saxe Point Park, libraries and rec center with a pool and skating rink. We are centrally located in the Greater Victoria area; we are close to the Victoria General Hospital (10 min drive, 15 min by bus or bike), not far from UVIC (25 min drive, 35 min bus, 45 min by bike), and Royal Roads University (12 min drive, 25 mins by bike, 35 by bus). Come see Victoria bloom! From January to May you'll probably get a bit of snow (mild winter weather by Canadian standards), lots of rain and our beautiful Spring starting by the end of February, with lots of flowers and warming weather in March-May. You'll enjoy walking in Portage Park, and along the Gorge Waterway, Thetis Lakes and other parks. We also have a paddleboard that will be available for paddling in the water ways near by.
