We are an academic family—two university professors and our 7-year old son—who will be spending a year in Japan on sabbatical leave. The location offers an excellent balance between tranquility and accessibility. A dedicated bicycle path along the river leads directly toward the city, making for a particularly pleasant commute. Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) can be reached in approximately 30 minutes by bike. Public transportation is also convenient, with tram and bus connections providing access to the city center in about 35 minutes. The school bus to the Munich International School stops in the street. Additional practical features include two private parking spaces in a shared underground garage, as well as a convenient shared laundry room in the basement.
