My charming stand-alone house is perfect for an individual scholar, a couple or a couple with a small child. Thoughtfully set up for a scholar's needs, it offers real comfort, a great neighborhood, and an easy commute to campus. The home features a large, light-filled living room and an adjacent kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, gas stove and oven. Two bedrooms are available to the tenant: The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, closet, and private en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. A second bedroom serves as a study with a. Both bedrooms open onto a small square hall with a second full bathroom featuring a shower and bathtub. There is also a small front yard. (There is also a third bedroom that will be empty but is not available for tenant use) The rent includes utilities (gas, electricity, water, and trash/recycling pickup) and off-street parking. Housecleaning and laundry access are available for an additional fee. No pets, please, and no smoking. Getting Around: The UC Berkeley Campus is a 5-minute drive, a 15-minute bike ride, or a short bus trip away, and BART is equally accessible. The Neighborhood: My home is in one of Berkeley's most livable areas. Berkeley Bowl West, Café Chiave, Homemade Café, and Tanzie's — whose coconut cakes were named one of the best dishes in the country by the New York Times in 2025 — are all within walking distance.
