The surroundings: You will be a 10 min walk from lots of shops and restaurants on Piedmont Ave and a 15 min walk from the popular Grand-Lakeshore area. Commute: Approximately 15 min drive to the Cal campus or 1 mile to the MacArthur Bart station (two stops to downtown Berkeley). The unit is on AC Transit lines 88 and 57. UC Berkeley is 15 min by car, 30 mins by bike, or 30-35 min by bus/train. Your roommate: 39F, UC Berkeley alum and staff researcher, seeking a roommate for my second bedroom. I'm quiet, very clean, and a laid back roommate. I enjoy getting to know new people and building community with roommates if they are open to it, but I'm also happy to give space if that's preferred. I'm often quite busy on weekdays, so we may only see each other in passing then. Unfortunately, no pets. I have a very sweet standard poodle mix who I rescued a few months ago. She is well-behaved at home and around people, but she has not been good around other animals, so I am not able to accommodate other pets in the unit at this time.
