The surroundings: You will be a 10 min walk from lots of shops and restaurants on Piedmont Ave and a 15 min walk from the popular Grand-Lakeshore area. Commute: Approximately 15 min drive to campus or walk/bike 1 mile to MacArthur Bart and ride it two stops to downtown Berkeley. Your roommate: I am a UC Berkeley alum and incoming staff researcher, seeking a roommate for my second bedroom. I'm quiet, very clean, and generally a laid back roommate, friendly and enjoy getting to know new people, but often busy with work. Non-negotiable: Unfortunately, no pets. I have a very sweet, quiet standard poodle mix who I rescued 7 months ago. She has not been good around other animals, so I am not able to accommodate other pets. Pet-sitting (optional): I travel a few times a year and would be willing to negotiate a rent discount in exchange for pet sitting during those times.
