In the cooler months, we have a wood-burning fireplace complete with a large pile of seasoned, split wood -- along with under-floor heating. Three bedrooms with queen-sized beds, two office spaces, a large deck, and a ping pong table. The ferry for both cars and passengers goes to and fro roughly every hour between the island and the mainland.

Comments: Our stylish, roomy house has a gorgeous view of the sea and other islands. A 5-minute walk down a forest path takes you to the beach. A 20-minute car ferry takes you to the city.
