Are you coming to London for work, study, holiday or other reasons, and need somewhere to stay for a few weeks or months? Would you like the convenience and service of a hotel but not the anonymity and cost, and the comfort of a room rental without the additional housework and responsibilities of a flat share? We are offering the best of both – an old-fashioned 'Paying Guest' option; staying in the guest room of our family home with us. You will have access to our kitchen/dining area, utility room, lounge and garden. You are welcome to help yourself to our selection of teas, coffee and home-grown herbal infusions. We will regularly clean your room, bedding and towels and help you with navigating around London and the surrounding areas. When possible, vegetarian meals @£10 and drop offs/pick ups @ £3 from local stations can be arranged. We have a modern end of terrace house, the heart of which is the bright open-plan kitchen and dining area with large windows looking out onto a secluded organic garden with fruit trees, a pond and many visiting birds. A separate book-filled lounge has a piano and an occasionally watched television. There is high speed WiFi connectivity in the house, with ethernet access also available. The guest room is on the first floor at the back of the house. It is cosy, bright and south-west facing, letting in the afternoon sun and overlooking the garden. It has recently been decorated and refurbished with a small en-suite shower and toilet, a vanity wash basin, a cherry wood double bed with Tempur memory foam mattress, a desk, drawer unit, clothes rail and hooks, storage space and a new wool mix carpet. We are a warm and friendly couple who value ecological, low-impact living; we choose eco-friendly products, compost our kitchen waste, reduce, reuse and recycle where possible. We both work from a primarily vegetarian home, and are often found immersed in our garden. We read widely and enjoy listening to classical music. We have a reputation for making guests feel very much at home, and appreciate their respect for our home, garden and preferences.
