Tentative availability: November 1–7, depending on my current roommate’s confirmed move-out date. I’m intentionally being detailed and transparent because finding a compatible living situation matters to me. I’d rather be upfront so we can both determine whether this feels like the right fit. THE SPACE Spacious, quiet 1,250 sq. ft. 2BR/2BA with beautiful views and natural light. Bedrooms are catty-corner from one another, each with its own bathroom. Available bedroom: approx. 13.3' x 12.5' (166 sq. ft.), with room for a queen/king bed and additional furniture. The second bathroom is for your personal use. The washer/dryer and storage area are accessed through it, so I’ll need brief daily access for those purposes. Otherwise, the bathroom and shower will not be used by me or my guests. Gas stove, fireplace, central heat, two parking spaces, garage storage, additional laundry facility, outdoor pool, onsite management/maintenance, nearby trails and convenient shopping/commuting access. RENT Your portion: $1,530 + shared utilities My portion: $1,745 + shared utilities Total rent: $3,275 Security deposit: $500 I pay $215 more because my bedroom and bathroom are larger. Management requires application, credit/background check and approval. ABOUT ME + FREYA I’m a 41-year-old freelance stylist with a busy schedule. I’m friendly and easygoing and value a peaceful, clean home where privacy, communication and shared spaces are respected. Freya is my indoor 3-year-old Russian Blue. She’s sweet, quiet, very clean, shy at first and lower-shedding. Russian Blues can be more allergy-friendly, although no cat is truly hypoallergenic. IDEAL FIT I’m looking for someone responsible, independent, thoughtful, clean and relatively low impact who wants a longer-term home. Someone who primarily works outside the home is preferred. Occasional WFH is totally fine, but shared living/dining areas aren’t intended to become a full-time office. Common areas are genuinely shared, and both of us should feel comfortable using them. It’s also completely reasonable to occasionally want some solo decompression time in a shared space after an overwhelming day. We can simply communicate those needs and offer each other the same consideration. I value someone who cleans up after themselves and contributes to shared chores without needing to be asked. Shared household basics can be split fairly. I’m also considering a monthly cleaning crew, with the cost split if mutually agreed upon. LIFESTYLE The apartment absolutely cannot smell like cigarette, medicinal or other smoke. Property rules require smoking away from the property, across the street or up/down the hill. A non-smoker is strongly preferred. Limited occasional drinking is fine; frequent/heavy drinking is not a good fit. No overnight guests. Occasional daytime/evening visitors are welcome with a check-in beforehand so neither of us comes home to unexpected guests. This is a quiet home and community, so consideration around doors, music/TV, conversations and general noise is important. Most importantly, I’m looking for safe, clear and open communication. We don’t need identical habits, but we should be able to bring things up, hear each other and make reasonable adjustments. Home is my sanctuary and where I recharge.
