Furnished 4BR in Shorewood: Steps to Atwater Beach and neighborhood schools

Our family is heading to Cape Town for six months, and we're looking for the right tenant (visiting faculty, sabbatical family, medical fellow, or relocating professional) to make our Shorewood home theirs from January through June 2027. The house A 1911 Arts & Crafts Colonial with the kind of character that's hard to find in a furnished rental: original Brazilian cherry hardwoods, a working wood-burning fireplace, a vintage chandelier in the foyer, and a stucco exterior that's held its lines for over a hundred years. The kitchen and baths have been thoughtfully updated, so you get period charm without period plumbing. Roughly 2,200 square feet across four bedrooms and 1.5 baths (plus a "Milwaukee toilet" tucked in the basement, a quirky local tradition you'll come to appreciate), with two dedicated home offices that have been tested by plenty of remote work and Zoom calls. The finished attic has two rooms and closet space and can be used as spare bedrooms, offices, tv/playrooms. Outside, you'll find a fenced backyard with a brick patio and lighted pergola, basketball hoop, and a detached two-car garage (a real consideration if you're arriving in January). Gardens are yours to enjoy.
