Gorgeous Three-Floor Victorian Home in Ideal Neighbourhood

We consider our home to be a member of our family! There’s plenty of space, from the finished basement (which we use for movie nights) to the attic (my favourite part of the house—people tell us it reminds them of a ship or a sauna), to the flower-filled backyard, complete with Green Egg BBQ/smoker, dining table, and plenty of herbs for cooking in the spring and summer. Speaking of cooking, the kitchen is great for anyone who loves making food. We’ve got a lot of culinary gadgets that you’re welcome to use (hello Vitamix! Hello Instant Pot!) as well as a gas stove and two fridges in case…um…you have a lot of leftovers? But don’t cook! Toronto is an under-the-radar foodie paradise, and this neighbourhood has some of the best restaurants in the city (Condé Nast named it one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the world, NBD). There are bars and restaurants and cute little shops within a 5-minute walk, as well as multiple parks, grocery stores, and pretty much anything else you might need. Plus, transit is easy; we have two bikes you can use (three if one of you is very small) and are within a ten minute walk of three main streetcar lines. In 15 minutes you can walk to West Queen West, Bloorcourt Village, Ossington, Roncesvalles, Dundas West, and Little Italy. Our house was built in 1895, and has managed to keep much of its original charm. We love the stained glass, the crown moulding, and the high ceilings. And our neighbourhood is idyllic—so friendly and warm, it feels like a small town inside a big city. It’s the best of both worlds!
