London Bridge, Westminster, The Shard, the South Bank and numerous institutions are all within easy reach via Underground, bus and rail. The flat is on the second floor with lift access and features a private balcony, secure entry system, fast Wi-Fi, and a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, washing machine and tumble dryer. It is a genuine home, thoughtfully arranged for comfortable everyday living, including cooking, working, and relaxing. The surrounding neighbourhoods offer two distinct London experiences. Kennington provides a calmer, leafy atmosphere with parks, cafés and a more residential village feel. Elephant & Castle is vibrant, diverse and energetic, known for its global food scene spanning South America, the Caribbean, Asia, Europe and Africa, as well as the historic East Street Market. Together they create a uniquely well-balanced central London location. This is my primary residence and has been set up with care over time rather than as a short-let investment property. As such, it is fully equipped with everything needed for an extended stay and a comfortable home environment. I travel regularly and understand the importance of arriving somewhere that feels secure, welcoming and easy to settle into. I aim to offer that same experience to guests staying in my home, with clear communication, thoughtful preparation and a respectful approach to hosting. The home is particularly well suited to visiting academics, researchers, professionals on placement or secondment, or individuals relocating to London for a short period who require a calm and well-connected base. It is also ideal for those conducting research or working with nearby universities and institutions, given the walking distance access to several major London universities. The space is best suited to responsible guests seeking a full-period stay. Preference will be given to a single tenant or couple staying for the entire duration of the availability window. As this is a lived-in home, it comes fully equipped with everyday essentials and a warm, comfortable atmosphere. The plants throughout the home and balcony contribute to this sense of calm and continuity; they are low maintenance and simply require a light weekly watering, with clear instructions provided to make this easy and stress-free. Available from 21 July to 23 August. Minimum stay preference 28 days but if in the range of that I am open to negotiating.
