Hi there. We are a family of four (my wife and I, along with our 9-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son) looking for a home exchange. Our apartment is 103 sq m (1109 sq ft) on Bergstaðastræti, right in the heart of Reykjavík. We love living here and are looking to connect with people who will treat our home, and our neighbors, with respect. Here are the things we think you will appreciate most about our apartment: - The location: We are in the dead center of the best part of downtown Reykjavík, yet we are insulated from the city's nightlife noise. The apartment building itself is very calm, and it is incredibly important to us that our guests respect the neighbors and maintain that quiet environment. - The Light: The apartment features large windows that let in a lot of natural light, making the whole space very bright and open. - The Piano: We have a baby grand piano in the living area that you are more than welcome to play. - Free Parking: We have a free parking space directly behind the building. In the spirit of being completely upfront, here are a few things that might make our home a less-than-perfect fit for some: - No TV: We do not have a television in the apartment. - No Garden: We don't have a backyard or ground-floor garden space. We do, however, have lovely east-facing balconies that look out into some greenery, and there are plenty of parks within walking distance. For sleeping arrangements, the main bedroom has a king-size bed, and the kids' room has a 160cm bunk bed, which is a great size for younger children.
