I’m looking for a thoughtful and respectful person, couple, or visiting academic/professional to rent my much-loved South London home while I am away. The property is a spacious one-bedroom period conversion with a private entrance, generous living space, a large bedroom, a modern kitchen and bathroom, and a calm, homely feel throughout. It has wooden floors, high ceilings, period details, houseplants, and plenty of natural light. The bedroom is very large and includes a king-sized bed and built-in wardrobes. The living room is also spacious, with a comfortable sofa (sofa bed), dining area, plants, and a dedicated desk/work area, making it well suited to someone working or studying from home. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes modern appliances, a dishwasher and washing machine. The bathroom has a bath with a filter shower attachment. The flat is in a residential neighbourhood with supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, pubs and local shops within easy walking distance. South Norwood Recreation Ground and Grangewood Park are also nearby. Transport links are excellent. Norwood Junction and Selhurst stations are both around a 10-minute walk away. From Norwood Junction, trains reach London Bridge in 12 minutes, with Thameslink services to King's Cross, Luton or Gatwick airport, and London Overground services towards Highbury & Islington. Selhurst has direct trains to Victoria and Clapham Junction. There are also several bus routes within a few minutes’ walk. This is my home, so I’m looking for someone clean, considerate and reliable who will treat the space with care. It would especially suit someone coming to London for a sabbatical, research placement, work contract or extended stay who wants a peaceful, comfortable base with easy access to central London.
