Beautiful 3BR home near UMD with porch, yard, and parking

As a dual-academic couple, we will be on sabbatical for the Spring 2027 semester and are looking for someone to stay in our home. We are also parents of a pre-school age child, and are happy to share advice on the area and leave out age-appropriate equipment/bed if useful. Please don't hesitate to ask. About the house: This is a carefully maintained and updated historic home. The first floor is open concept with a large living room, dining room, half bath, and kitchen. Off the dining room is a screened-in-porch, and large deck with a grill and steps to the yard. The kitchen features new appliances (induction stove, refrigerator, microwave, dish washer) and is well-stocked for the home chef. One the second floor is the primary bedroom (queen bed), office (two desks), bedroom (twin bed), and full bathroom. The rooms are sunny and bright, but also have blackout shades for sleeping and ceiling fans, in addition to central air. The fully finished basement suite includes a family/tv room, bedroom (full bed), full bathroom, and laundry (washer and dryer). The outside areas include a play structure and shed for bike storage. We particularly love how verdant the yard is with mature plantings, large shady trees, and flowers and vegetables that return each year (with minimal effort!). Landscaping is included in rent. About the area: We live in a quiet, residential neighborhood with tree-lined streets and helpful, lovely neighbors. Walk to local shops (coffee shop, restaurants, record store) in downtown Hyattsville, and DC is easily accessible by bus (one block away), metro (one mile away), or car. We are two blocks from the UMD shuttle to campus, and near bike paths that lead to UMD's campus or into DC. Local grocery stores include Whole Foods and Trader Joes within 2 miles.
