I'm a 67-year-old computational linguistics professor looking for a housemate or small family of housemates to share a 3900 sq ft house. This is a co-housing arrangement with private space and shared space. Your private space is the third floor of the house, which has a large room, a small room, a tiny room, and a full bathroom. You can have a microwave and a minifridge on the third floor. My private space is the second floor. We share the first floor, which is sprawling because it includes an addition to the house. The first floor has a reading room, a TV room, a large double kitchen, a dining room, gym with Precor AMT machine, two full baths, a deck, and a tiled, covered porch. The first floor is also completely wheelchair-accessible (in case you have visitors with disabilities) with a ramp and accessible bathroom. The whole first floor has windows facing south and is very bright. The Regent Square neighborhood is not well-known to outsiders, but to Pittsburghers it has a reputation as the neighborhood that nobody leaves once they move there. It borders on Frick Park, which has walking and biking trails and has coffee shops, restaurants, two small bookstores, and other businesses. It is only one mile from Squirrel Hill, separated by Frick Park, but it has a small-town feel compared to Squirrel Hill. Regent Square has bus lines. There is a bus stop for the 61B bus at my house. The 61B goes to Squirell Hill, Oakland, and downtown. The busway, with faster access to downtown, also goes through Regent Square, about a 10 minute walk from my house. For driving, my house is a few blocks from the Edgewood-Swissvale exit of the Parkway (376). So, you can get to a lot of places quickly. Regent Square is the name of a neighborhood that includes small parts of four cities, Pittsburgh, Edgewood, Wilkinsburg, and Swissvale. The borders are very crooked and every time you take a step you are in a different city. My house is in Wilkinsburg, which has wealthy and poor sections. The corner of Wilkinsburg that is in Regent Square is well-off. School District: My house is in Wilkinsburg and uses the Wilkinsburg school district for elementary school. For high school, Wilkinsburg kids use the Pittsburgh school district. Not sure about middle school. Occupation tax: Wilkinsburg occupation (salary) tax is 2% lower than Pittsburgh! Disclosures: (1) the house is on a main street where there is traffic all night. (2) parking is only on a quiet cross-street, but there is no driveway or garage (the former garage became the wheelchair-accessible addition to the house). (3) I'm working on getting split unit air conditioners for the third floor, but for at least a short time, you will have to use window air conditioners. (4) the basement is full of Lego and Playmobil, which I am selling as a fundraiser for naclo.org (linguistics Olympiad). (5) There are many small repairs that need to be done, so please don't expect the house to be perfect. For example, one of the two ovens in the kitchen is not working right now, but I will get it fixed soon. About me: I'm a night owl, so you will rarely see me before 9am, but you will see me having a midnight snack before I go to sleep. I like gardening, walking, and lindy hop dancing. I do the New York Times puzzles every day, but I'm not good enough to do the Friday and Saturday crossword puzzles. I enjoy talking about any kind of research and also enjoy talking about politics and history. I'm vegetarian (mostly vegan), but it is ok if you cook and eat meat.

Comments: Regent Square is a cozy neighborhood with restaurants and coffee shops near a big park . 15-20 minutes by bus to CMU, 20-25 minutes to Pitt.
Comments: All utilities and wifi (with boosters) are included. The housekeeper comes twice per month (included). There are two washers and dryers in the house.
Comments: The previous guests had two girls (5 and 8) and it was a great place for them. Parking is only on the street. There is no garage or driveway.
I have perennials and vegetables. It would be great to have some gardening partners.
Comments: I'm a small, 67-year-old woman, so it would be good if you could occasionally lift or carry something. But if you can't, that's ok too.

Comments: This is a co-housing arrangement in a 3900 sq ft house. You have a private suite to yourself, and I have a private suite to myself, and we share a sprawling first floor with gym, deck, TV room, reading room, dining room and large double kitchen.
