I'm a retired translator and have been living in Berlin for over 40 years. I've been enjoying my apartment and the surrounding area for 15 years. You'l find everything you need here whether it is peace and quiet, good food, museums, theatre and galleries. At the end of the street is Rathaus Schöneberg with its Freedom Bell and where John F. Kennedy appeared with Willy Brandt in 1963. As you enter the apartment, you come directly into the bright, open-plan living room and kitchen, creating a spacious and welcoming first impression. The large balcony leads directly from the living area and provides an excellent additional space for morning coffee, working outdoors or relaxing after a day exploring Berlin. The apartment is located on Belzigerstraße in Schöneberg, one of Berlin's most appealing neighbourhoods, with a great mix of cafés, restaurants, bars, independent shops and everyday amenities. Eisenacher Straße U-Bahn station is the nearest U-Bahn, making it easy to get around Berlin while still enjoying the feel of a residential neighbourhood. Schöneberg is particularly well suited to an extended stay: you have everything you need close by, while central Berlin and the city's many attractions are easily accessible by public transport.
