You will have exclusive use of the fully furnished second bedroom and your own adjacent private bathroom. The room is designed for immediate comfort, featuring a premium queen memory foam mattress, a roomy closet, a smart TV, and dedicated lighting for evening reading or unwinding. Shared Spaces & Amenities The shared living spaces are fully equipped and designed for ease. Enjoy a modern kitchen with a dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, stove, and microwave, as well as a cozy living room. Step out back to a private patio complete with a grill - perfect for enjoying a quiet Philadelphia evening. The home features central air and heating, in-unit washer and dryer, and is secured with an entrance alarm system and outdoor cameras. Location & Exclusive Perks Forget the hassle of commuting! Included in your stay is the use of a free bicycle and helmet. Enjoy a scenic, dedicated 13-minute bike ride to HUP and Penn's campus, or a 16-minute ride to Penn Presbyterian. The Schuylkill River Trail is also immediately accessible for running and recreation. As an added bonus, you are moving in with built-in institutional knowledge. Your host is a Penn MD+PhD graduate, and current Chief Resident in Clinical Pathology at HUP with years of experience navigating the local medical systems, ensuring you have an excellent guide to the neighborhood and the university campuses. To maintain a quiet, clean resting environment for busy professionals, the shared home cannot accommodate children, pets, or smoking. Your host maintains a busy but balanced schedule, juggling hospital duties with marathon training and pick-up volleyball. The house dynamic is highly flexible: I am always happy to share an occasional dinner, a movie night, or local recommendations, but I completely understand the need for space. Whether you enjoy a friendly household connection or prefer the quiet autonomy of "ships passing in the night," you will find a comfortable and accommodating environment here. Terms & Availability Ideal Stays: Highly flexible and open to stays ranging from 1 to 6 months to align with medical rotations, fellowships, or academic sabbaticals. Opportunities for year-long stays can be discussed. Utilities: Rent is separate from utilities, which are split 50/50. Expect your share to be a highly predictable ~$150-$175/month (this covers high-speed WiFi, central air/heat, gas, water/sewage/trash, and the security system). Cleaning: An end-of-stay turnover fee applies. For stays exceeding 1 month, a monthly professional cleaning of your private bed/bath can be utilized at your expense to maintain the space.
