Colorful, cozy cottage in adorable village near Cornell

We are faculty at Cornell University looking to rent out our house for the spring semester in 2027. Our house is nestled in the adorable village of Trumansburg, NY. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a half bath. Both the kitchen (equipped with gas range stove and dishwasher), dining room, and full bath have recently received stylish makeovers. Two further rooms are downstairs and feature an upright grand piano, comfortable seating, and a pull-out couch. Either the room with the pull-out couch or the smaller upstairs bedroom could readily be used as an at-home office. The house is on a peaceful, dead-end street, just around the corner from Henry Smith Woods (a historic old growth forest) and "Ice Cream Bar" (an ice cream shop + bar). Grocery store, pharmacy, and wine/liquor store are a couple minutes drive away. Walking distance to downtown Trumansburg, and a five minute drive to the spectacular waterfall at Taughannock Park, the gorgeous Lake Cayuga, and the Black Diamond Trail (built on an old railroad track that goes all the way to Ithaca: perfect for trail running, walking, or biking). The drive to Cornell's campus takes about 15-20 minutes and passes through rolling hills alongside Lake Cayuga. The local area bus (TCAT) also has a stop right across the street from the house.
