Cosy and characterful cottage near Bristol. A tranquil, quirky, plant-filled haven perfectly situated for getting to Portishead, Bristol and beyond. Birdsong in the morning, and a small but flower-filled patio garden. Two tranquil double bedrooms, both with clothes storage and original sash windows. Wood panelled bathroom separate shower cubicle and bath. Flagstone-floored kitchen, with a gorgeous glass-roofed dining area. Living room (with wood burning stove for winter), and downstairs office with sofa bed. Mesh-network internet throughout the house to deal with the thick walls, which mean it stays cosy in winter and cool in summer. Parking space just opposite the cottage with room for 2 cars. Easy access to central Bristol by bus (15-20 mins), or driving (less than 10 mins). Cardiff and Wales also in easy reach, and there are direct trains to Exeter, Oxford, Cheltenham, Bath and London, which takes less than 2 hours.

Comments: Peaceful, arty plant-filled cottage in a village near bustling Bristol
Comments: I work as a writer and designer, and am currently a Visiting Lecturer at Glasgow School of Art. Increasing work committments mean I'd love to spend more time in Glasgow/Edinburgh/Dundee - I'm open to swaps or rentals and can be flexible about dates.
Comments: Smoking allowed in the garden but not inside the house
Keeping an eye on the small garden and occasional watering would be great!
