Bright, well-lit flat in a period building in one of Belgrade's most prestigious historic neighbourhoods, Vračar. Steps away from the main library of the University of Belgrade, a short walk across the park from the National Library of Serbia. Depending on whether you prefer to walk or use public transport, you are between 5-10 minutes' walk (University of Belgrade faculties of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electronics, Law) and 10-20 minutes' public transport/30-45 minutes' walk (University of Belgrade faculties of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Philosophy, Philology, Sciences, and Economics), as well as to Singidunum University and Faculty of Arts. The flat has two bedrooms, each with a double bed and designated office space. The bigger bedroom (street-facing) has a king size bed, L-shaped desk, and built-in wardrobes; the smaller (inner courtyard-facing) has a sofa convertible into a double bed, a desk and cupboards/storage space. They are separated by a cozy living room with a sofa, armchair, dining table, and a smart TV, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. An added plus is a small enclosed (west-facing) balcony with a view of the tranquil inner courtyard (fir trees and birdsong). There is shelf space for books. High-speed internet (wi-fi). The neighbourhood is central but quiet (side street so little foot and car traffic). Shops, cafés/restaurants, bakeries, bookshops, and the famous Kalenić open air market are all within 2-5 minutes' walk. Tašmajdan park (which also has a swimming pool and a sports centre) as well as St. Sava's Temple are a 10-minute walk away. The neighbourhood is extremely walkable, but it is also well connected by public transport, including to New Belgrade, the airport, or the train and bus stations. The flat is on the third floor; be mindful that there is no elevator (lift), which is common for old Vračar buildings. Normally, this should not be a problem unless you have serious mobility issues or come with a lot of heavy luggage (though we can assist with the latter). I'm an academic who has spent close to 20 years living, travelling, and working abroad, so I am happy to assist with/discuss any queries you may have. Either me or my associate Vera will be able to welcome you and show you around.
