The Cairn Cottage is located adjacent to a 3500 year old ancient burial grounds. Similar to stonehenge, the cairn stones stand as tall, majestic reminders of pagan times of celebration, community, and ritual. At cairn cottage, you can start everyday by greeting the sunrise over the Cairn as walk 10 minutes to the Flagstaff which overlooks Carlingford Lough and the North Sea. Alternatively, you can walk west up to the top of the Slieve Gullion mountain range and cast your eyes over the whole of County Down and Antrim. Our home has been in our family for hundreds of years but was remodeled in 1980 with all the modern amenities. Enjoy a spacious greatroom with fireplace and wood stove, cozy cough and stunning views of the hills outside your door. Take a 15 minute drive to Newry, seaside town of Carlingford, or bustling Dundalk.
