Welcome to our lovely two-bedroom apartment, a spacious, comfortable and well-equipped home in one of London’s most sought-after neighbourhoods, and an ideal base for spending a semester, sabbatical or extended period in London. The apartment combines the space and comfort of a real home with an excellent location for accessing London's universities, colleges, libraries and research institutions. It is bright, peaceful and generously proportioned, with plenty of storage and a quiet environment that makes it equally well suited to relaxing, studying or working from home. The apartment The flat is on the fourth floor and has everything you need to feel at home during a longer stay. It is spacious, recently renovated and very well looked after with plenty of room to unpack and settle in. There are two good-sized bedrooms, both with built-in wardrobes, providing lots of storage. The main bedroom has a comfortable double bed. The second bedroom is particularly flexible: its bed can be opened out to create a full-size double bed, making the room suitable either as a second bedroom or for accommodating a couple when required. The large reception room is bright and comfortable, with attractive wood flooring and plenty of space to relax or work. It is also equipped with a sofa bed which opens out into a double bed, providing additional sleeping accommodation for visiting family or friends. The recently renovated, fully fitted kitchen is equipped with everything you would expect in a proper home, including all the appliances, cookware, crockery and utensils needed to prepare meals and enjoy them at home. For a longer stay, we think this makes a big difference; you can genuinely live here rather than feeling as though you are staying in temporary accommodation. The contemporary bathroom is modern and well presented, and the apartment has peaceful views over the communal gardens. For anyone working remotely, the apartment also provides a quiet and comfortable space to work or study. There is plenty of room to have your own working area without the flat feeling cramped, while the peaceful outlook over the gardens makes it an easy place to concentrate. The location The location is one of the things we love most about the apartment. Chalk Farm Underground Station (Zone 2) is only a short walk away, providing access to the Northern Line and central London. You can reach central London in around 10 minutes, making it very easy to get to meetings, lectures, museums, libraries and other institutions across the city. When you are not working, there is an enormous amount to enjoy within walking distance. Primrose Hill is just a short stroll away, with its beautiful park, spectacular views across London, independent boutiques, cafés and restaurants. Regent's Park is also nearby, while the world-famous Camden Market and the lively shops, cafés and restaurants of Camden are only a few minutes' walk away. So although you are close to everything you need for work and study, you can return home to a peaceful apartment overlooking the gardens. The building The apartment is in a highly regarded and exceptionally well-maintained mansion block. The communal areas have recently been refurbished and are kept immaculately clean. The building is cleaned every day and has two lifts and attractive communal gardens. We take great pride in looking after our home and hope that our guests will enjoy it as much as we do. We particularly feel that it works wonderfully for someone coming to London for a semester, sabbatical or extended academic visit: it offers the space and facilities of a proper home, a quiet place to work, excellent transport links and one of London's most enjoyable neighbourhoods right outside the door.
