This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath house is at the end of a quiet cul-da-sac, bordering marshland. The interior is a bright and open first floor, a kitchen stocked with all you would need, including an espresso machine and new kitchen appliances. The comfy, cozy couch is perfect for lounging and watching TV or sitting and studying with a laptop. The second floor opens out into a common area used as a library/study with a wall of book shelves and a desk. Walking from the stairs to the main bedroom, you will find a spacious, tray ceilinged room where another bed could easily fit, but a queen bed is provided as well as dresser and another set of drawers and a comfy chair to have a morning reflection while taking in the green back yard forest. The main bedroom splits off into a full bathroom with two sinks, a soaking sub and glass stall shower. Through the bathroom is a walk-in closet with some shelving and a tie rack available. The two other bedrooms share a hall bathroom. Each of these two bedrooms have a dedicated work space and large closets. The larger bedroom has a queen bed and the smaller has a twin bed. Both have dressers for use in addition to the closets. The washer and dryer on the second floor and convenient. Each bedroom and the blinds in the study are black-out quality, while a nightlight is provided in the second bathroom. The last bathroom is a half-bath downstairs, convenient for guests. We are looking for a family to enjoy and safeguard our home while we are away. If you are taking a trip to experience the history of the area, or if you are scouting out a place to live near Charleston, this stay allows you to get the feel of the city and area. We love the quiet of the neighborhood, but also the proximity to great restaurants (like Wildflour Pastry and 17 Prime Steakhouse), grocery stores (Costco and Food Lion are not far at all) as well as proximity to the West Ashley greenway, and nature in your own back yard. Beach trips and visits to downtown Charleston can be a common part of your life here. Professional pulls may be from nearby Medical University of South Carolina, Roper St. Francis, Boeing, the Citadel and many other high-profile or lesser-known institutes of learning or industry. The history of the town is fascinating with Charlestown Landing, Fort Sumter, the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier, as well as Folly Beach being notable historical experiences. It is a fabulous place for a retreat and a good home base to visit other cities as well, like Savannah, GA. We love watching the birds out at Caw Caw, and biking out near Hollywood and Meggett, as well as grabbing some Starbucks to walk the West Ashley Greenway on Saturday mornings.
