I’m a Toronto-based professional and a snowbird, and I’ll be away from Toronto during the winter months. Rather than leave my apartment empty while I’m away, I would like to offer it to the right person or couple who needs a comfortable, fully furnished home in Toronto for approximately six months. This is the home I normally live in, so it has been furnished and equipped as a home rather than as a typical rental property. I take pride in keeping it clean, comfortable and well maintained, and I hope to find someone who will enjoy it and care for it in the same way. I consider myself friendly, straightforward and easy to deal with. I value good communication, mutual respect and making sure that both sides are completely comfortable with the arrangement. I am not looking simply for the first person willing to rent the apartment; finding the right fit is more important to me. The apartment could be particularly well suited to a visiting academic or researcher, a professional temporarily relocating to Toronto, an individual or couple on a work assignment, or someone who needs a furnished home while renovating or transitioning between residences. I am looking for a responsible, respectful and financially reliable individual or couple who appreciates living in a quiet, well-maintained building and will treat the apartment and its furnishings with care. References, proof of income/employment and a credit report will be requested as part of the process. My goal is to make the arrangement simple and comfortable for both of us. Everything needed for day-to-day living is already in the apartment, and utilities, internet and cable are included, so the successful tenant can simply move in and feel at home.
