Spacious flat in Berlin-Moabit to sub-let in Fall and Winter 2026-27

Description

We are a writer and a curator, both working from home, with two and sometimes three adolescent children who stay with us from time to time. Owing to a residency and other projects, we shall both be away from 10 Sept 2026 to 24 Mar 2027 - although Sonia may need to stop by for a book now and then. We hope to sub-let our apartment during our absence. Feel free to propose staying for the whole six months or a shorter period of not less than a month. The apartment has a total surface of ca. 93 sqm, 4th floor with no elevator. Its windows face east and west, so it is well-lit but not a greenhouse. Many of the walls are lined with bookshelves, but unfortunately they are already full. We'll do what we can not to leave any books on the floor. All in all, you'll find the flat neat and well-organized. There will be space in the wardrobe for your clothes (note: no door on the wardrobe). The kitchen has a large refrigerator, a stove with five burners and a big oven. Wifi and a printer/scanner in the study. There are no plants to speak of. The flat is quiet and has plenty of table space. The beds are all comfortable (one master bed and three single beds, of which two double as sofas when not being slept in.) The location is central - two stops on the tram from Hauptbahnhof, and a short walk from the Spree, the Tiergarten, and the AdK. You can get in a 10-km run barely touching concrete. We are announcing this on very short notice. We hope to set up the sub-let as well as possible before leaving next week, but will follow up later in September if the flat remains free for any part of the time. Write if you have any questions !
