About this space Beautifully redecorated village house in the historic and peaceful village of Old Basing. Country-style interiors, real character and an award-winning bakery just two minutes away. Three bedrooms sleep up to 6 guests, with a family bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, Sonos sound system and a lovely garden with deck, festoon lights and BBQ. Free overnight EV charging is available. Fast trains reach London in around 40 minutes, with the station just 5 minutes away by car. The space The house offers three floors and approximately 1,800 sq ft of comfortable living space. The spacious sitting room has two large three-seater sofas, armchair, coffee tables, smart TV, dresser and desk with chair. This leads into the kitchen and dining area, which seats 6. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge freezer with ice machine, dishwasher, oven and hob, Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave and Sonos sound system. Crockery, glassware and cutlery are provided. The conservatory includes a washing machine, tumble dryer, coat and shoe storage, iron, ironing board and clothes airer. It opens onto the garden, which has a deck, lawn, festoon lights, outdoor furniture and charcoal BBQ. The master bedroom has a king-size sleigh bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers, wardrobe, armchair and fan. Bedroom 2 has two single beds that can be joined to make a king, plus storage, chair and fan. Bedroom 3 is in the attic with a king-size bed, bedside table, chest of drawers, desk, chair and fan. Please note that steep stairs lead to this room. It has a low ceiling and a small step, so it is not suitable for elderly guests or very young children. The family bathroom has a sink with storage, separate shower and bath. Hairdryers are provided in all bedrooms. The house has a smart lock. Your unique door code will be sent the day before check-in and remains the same throughout your stay. No key collection is needed. Guest access Guests have full private access to the house, garden and facilities. Two parking spaces are directly in front of the house, or up to four cars can park closely behind one another. Please only use the spaces directly in front of the property, as the remaining spaces belong to neighbours. Free overnight EV charging is available. One cable is provided and must remain attached to the charger. For daytime charging, please contact us before arrival for information and rates. Some cupboards and one external shed are locked for storage. Everything needed for your stay remains accessible. The back shed is available for guest and bike storage. A backup key fob is kept in the wooden bowl at the bottom of the stairs and can also lock and unlock the front door. Other things to note The garden watering system runs automatically overnight during summer. Please do not adjust it. Some outdoor lights are timed and others are motion-activated. The cupboard under the kitchen sink and left-hand wardrobe doors in the master bedroom remain locked. Baby and toddler equipment is available, including a highchair, potty, baby cutlery, plates and hand mixer. A travel cot with waterproof and fitted sheets can be provided on request. Pets are welcome for a £50 fee per stay. Please let us know in advance. A first aid kit, board games, cards, spare bulbs and appliance manuals are kept in the sitting room dresser. If you use a spare bulb, please let us know. The electrical consumer unit is on the sitting room wall near the front door. The water stopcock is at the back of the corner cupboard by the kitchen sink. Bin collections are every Tuesday morning. Black bins are weekly; green recycling and glass are fortnightly. Put bins at the roadside on Monday evening and use neighbours' bins as a guide. A gardener may visit during your stay and will knock and introduce himself. For longer stays, a mid-stay clean will be arranged.
