The G.N. Tea Haus is inspired by European travels and Maine materials, designed intentionally to include a vintage taxidermy collection, a gallery of windows, hand-painted murals and indulgent amenities. We offer natural fiber bedding and organic personal care products. The Tea Haus is the perfect antidote to modern distraction: Couples reconnect in our bespoke Love Nest. Creatives stoke embers of inspiration and focus without distraction. Guests return to their everyday lives with memories as precious as heirlooms. We left the short term rental market in favor of connection with professionals/retirees who would like to settle into the space for more time, allowing us to manage the listing ourselves from afar. *We will happily create a designated office area for a tenant staying min. 3 months.* Specifics: Visiting the Tea Haus is like stumbling onto a fairytale treasure trove in the pine forest. We pride ourselves on what the Swedish call “Lagom," and Goldlilocks called “Just Right." Entryway: our double-height entry area has bench seating and ample storage room for any outdoor gear you bring. A perfect transition space from outdoor activities into a “Hygge," cozy mode. Great Room: the central room of the cottage is an open-concept area with a dining table in the center. Gallery kitchen, beverage amenities, and sleeping areas are situated around the perimeter. Two twin-bed sleeping nooks flank either end of the the kitchen/dining area. Sunroom: our four-season sunroom is the crown jewel of the Tea Haus! A converted porch, the pine-clad room enjoys views on all sides of the surrounding woods. Wild turkeys, deer, owls, partridges, and kestrels appear with regularity and suspect the property in fact belongs to them. The room runs on a mini-split climate control system for AC in summer and extra warmth in the winter. Bedroom: our bedroom offers a relaxing minimalist space with elegant adornment and a king-size bed. All beds in the Tea Haus are comprised of organic mattresses with either wool or bamboo toppers and organic cotton or linen sheets and duvets. The cottage boasts a king-size bedroom, but currently has 2 additional daybeds which can be used for guests. (An additional 3rd daybed for a very small guest!) Bathroom: is located within the primary suite, tucked behind a closet for privacy (there is no physical door between them.) The "Leporine Latrine" is covered in rabbit-themed designs which bring levity and laughter to the most routine daily activities. Our shower light offers Red Light Therapy, although the bathroom itself has several lighting options. Our Property: children, pets and parents alike will enjoy the safety of a fenced-in front yard with views of the local Mahoosuc mountain range. Native and perennial garden beds delight the senses during spring, summer and fall as hummingbirds visit the bathroom window, pollinators dance along our small stream and fun-size frogs happily hop amongst yarrow and thyme. A seasonally-available firepit and outdoor seating area are accessible from front and sideyards, as well as directly from the sunroom. We provide grilling amenities as well as a bocce and croquet. Nearby: Andover is perfectly situated between many charming tourist towns which offer museums, shops, theatres, restaurants and cafes, located under 2 hours from Portland. Hundreds of outdoor adventures await within a one-hour drive of the Tea Haus- Nordic and Alpine skiing, white water rafting, gem mining, hiking, snowshoeing and river sports are all available to our guests, and we are happy to help you coordinate your adventures. ***Special Notes*** - In an effort toward sustainable pest management, a barn cat resides at the property. Please ensure that he is unbothered and that any visiting dogs remain in the fenced yard. - We have a generator to ensure maintenance of heat, hot water, and electricity.

Comments: Andover is a perfect hamlet for those who work online or are taking a break from a full-time work schedule. We are 30 minutes from groceries, restaurants, and hospitals. The location feels remote, while maintaining access to "civilization."
